8月8日下午，国防部新闻局副局长、国防部新闻发言人蒋斌大校就近期涉军问题发布消息。
记者：有消息称美参议院军委会主席近期可能率国会代表团窜访台湾，如成行这可能成为2016年以来担任该职务的议员首次窜台。请问发言人有何评论？
Question: Reports indicate that the chairman of the US Senate Armed Services Committee may soon lead a congressional delegation to Taiwan, which will be the first visit to Taiwan by a senator holding this position since 2016. May I have your comments?
蒋斌：世界上只有一个中国，台湾是中国领土不可分割的一部分。中方一贯坚决反对美台开展任何形式的官方往来。我们要求美方恪守一个中国原则和中美三个联合公报规定，切实履行不支持“台独”的承诺，停止与中国台湾地区开展任何形式的官方往来和军事联系，停止纵容支持“台独”分裂势力。解放军时刻保持高度戒备，坚决捍卫国家主权和领土完整。
Jiang Bin: There is but one China in the world, and Taiwan is an inalienable part of the Chinese territory. The Chinese side firmly opposes any form of official engagement between the US and the Taiwan region. We require the US side to abide by the one-Chine principle and stipulations of the three China-US joint communiqués, earnestly fulfill its promise of not supporting “Taiwan independence”, stop any form of official interaction and military connection with China’s Taiwan region, and stop conniving at or supporting separatists for “Taiwan independence”. The PLA will stay on high alert at any time and take resolute measures to safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
